2017 is over and our big Arts et Métiers Alumni Community based in the US is looking forward to the new cooperations, events and success stories in the new 2018. What did the past year bring to AFAM, to Arts et Métier ParisTech and to its partners? We have selected the events that have shaped the past year. Let’s see the 2017 in review!

January 2017
For the first time ever, launch of CrAMfunding in partnership with KissKissBankBank and ENGIE. Nine successful campaigns being able to raise funds for innovative students’ projects between €4000 and €50000. More information about CrAMfunding's projects.

 

Michel Jauzein is a new director of Cluny campus.

Xavier Kestelyn is appointed as a new Deputy General Director in charge of education programs.

 

May 2017

How to be a student-engineer and an entrepreneur? The workshop CREDA, “Création d'entreprise et développement d’activités” in French (Company establishment and business development) celebrated his 10-year anniversary.

Laval Institute and the team of Arts et Metiers Laboratory “Presence & innovation” presented their project AccesSim - virtual reality wheelchair simulator for people with locomotor disabilities used in urban environment. The presentation  took place in the framework of “Bougez Autrement" (“Move differently”) in the city of Laval.

 

June 2017

Opening of Station F.  Arts et Métiers Acceleration program is a part of this Paris start-up incubator.

Arts et Métiers ParisTech launched a new master's degree in sustainable innovation.

 

July 2017

The collaboration between Enertime and Dynfluid, Arts et Métiers Laboratory, is growing and they will fund a PhD thesis.

November 2017

Novembre is the month of cooperations!

New agreement between Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) and Arts et Métiers ParisTech for the creation of the common research center on materials and manufacturing has been signed.

Besides, new Agreement between Arts et Métiers ParisTech and the new city of Zenata, in Morocco, for the creation of the 9th campus has been signed during the visit of Philippe Edouard, French prime minister.

 

December 2017

Jean-Marie Vigrou (Bo 174) was elected as a new Soce President.
