Financial help

 

In January 2010, AFAM launched the "Shasta internship program" that helps Arts et Metiers ParisTech students find internships in U.S. companies.

 

Within this program, AFAM also offers financial assistance to students who have accepted a Shasta internship. This financial assistance is available as an interest free loan to be repaid within 5 years. Students may use this loan to finance their VISA expenses as well as other living expenses up to a maximum of $2,500.

 

University interns, student exchanges, and people who have finished Arts et Métiers ParisTech are not part of the program. If you are doing or going to do an internship in a U.S. company this year, and would like to apply for Shasta financial assistance, please follow those steps:

  • Download and return the signed attached Shasta Loan Agreement

  • Produce a detailed forecast of your income and expenses by filling out this document justifying your loan amount

  • Send an email to the Shasta grant manager detailing:

    • Your name

    • School year

    • Internship frame (stage 1A, stage industriel, stage P2I, PJE)

    • Location

    • Accurate internship dates

    • Documents attached
