The mission of AFAM is to grow the brand image of Arts et Metiers Paristech in the United States and to establish strategic partnerships with universities, businesses and non profit organizations, working closely with the schooll, its Alumni association (a.k.a. SOCE), and its Foundation (Fondation Arts et Métiers).

Our school needs to compete  internationally against many (often well funded) larger technology institutes  and universities in the United    States, Asia,  and elsewhere in Europe. To that end, it needs  to expand its resources for both teaching and for research. It needs to enhance  its reputation in order to compete for the brightest students, and it also  needs to do so on a global basis. With this goal in mind and under the leadership of its director Jean-Paul Hautier, it launched in 2007 a multi-year campaign  to raise €18mm in order to support research (€8mm), to boost its international expansion (€4mm), to renovate and reinvest in infrastructure (€4mm) and to improve its educational program (€2mm).

Our efforts, together with  your involvement, will help students and professors participate more often and more deeply in program exchanges  with American universities by helping them finance the cost, and by helping the school market its brand.
