AFAM is governed by a volunteer board of directors elected annually by AFAM contributors in good standing and by the Arts et Métiers Paristech School Director.
By policy, AFAM is committed to preserving the confidentiality of all personal information it keeps about its members.

Eric Benhamou President since 2007
Hi, I’m Eric! I am an Aix 72 alum. I arrived in the US in 1976. I graduated in 1977 from Stanford's School of Engineering and pursued a career in the IT industry in Silicon Valley. I was fortunate to create, grow and lead several successful IT companies such as Bridge Communications, 3Com and Palm. I now serve on several public company boards and allocate the rest of my time between my Venture Capital Fund Benhamou Global Ventures, LLC, the INSEAD global business school in Fontainebleau and the IDC in Herzeliya where I am a visiting professor, and of course AFAM. |

Hi, I’m Thomas! I was born in the US and raised in France until I came back in 2003 as an Arts et Metiers ParisTech exchange student. I work as Vice President of Turtle Bay Capital, an energy private equity fund, and started my career in strategy consulting at Mars & Co. I serve on the board of the AAGEF on behalf of the AFAM.

Hi, I am Lionel! I am an alumni of Cluny 1993 Class. Before moving with my family to New York in 2005, I spent 10 years working in France and Europe as a enterprise information consulting manager with Oracle, PwC and Opertura, a technology advisory firm I created in 2000. I have continued my career as a Business, IT strategy and operations consultant here first with BearingPoint, TCS and then once again as an entrepreneur with Opertura Consulting Inc. that I created here in 2008. Today I am thrilled about the AFAM and the opportunity to help the Arts & Métiers community acquire a true international stature and recognition in the USA. Hi, I am Claude. I have been in Silicon Valley since 1980. After graduating from Arts et Métiers (Angers 74), I received an MBA degree from Stanford University. I spent 23 years at Intel in various marketing and general management positions. I ended up running Intel Capital's international investment operations. After a 2 year stint in a small VC firm, I started my own company in the solar electricity market, ClearSpot Energy . I am a director of Camelot Information Systems, China's largest SAP integrator. I am spending the Fall 2011 semester attending Beijing University to improve my ability to communicate in Chinese. |

Hi, I'm Francis! I am a Châlons 171 Alumni. My career allowed me to know different processes as cement, granulated stone, silica and industrial engineering for energy and refinery, in position of project and operational manager. I contibute in the Arts et Metiers community as Lyon regional group representative and also as VP International Relations in the SOCE board. Thus, I represente this organization in the AFAM board. I hope that others countries follow AFAM exemple as a very dynamic organization.

Jean-Paul Hautier Board Member since 2007, Dean of Arts & Metiers ParisTech
Hi I’m Jean-Paul! My story with the Arts& Metiers ParisTech started as a professor in the Lille center in 1990. In 2001 I took in charge the entire school’s research before becoming its Dean in 2006. The AFAM is at the center of my goals, because I believe the school’s future lies on its international competitiveness, and will look forward to meeting you in one of my annual trips in the USA.
